We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide our newsletter and this website. No tracking, profiling, or sharing with third parties for advertising purposes takes place.
This website is hosted on our own server (AWS EC2). When you visit, a technically necessary cookie is set to store your selected language (German/English); this cookie is exempt from consent requirements under § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG, as it enables a function you explicitly requested. No analytics or tracking tools are used, and no data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Only technically necessary server log data is collected (IP address, timestamp, page accessed). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the website).
When you sign up for our newsletter, we process:
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Registration uses a double opt-in process: after entering your email address, you will receive a confirmation email. Your subscription is only activated after clicking the confirmation link.
If you use our 30-day free trial, you get access to Premium-tier features for that period (with the exception of exporting data from the archive), without providing any payment details. Once the trial ends, you are automatically moved to the free subscription plan.
We retain the themes and delivery schedules you chose during the trial for a further 30 days after the trial ends (60 days total from the start of the trial), so you can easily restore them if you later switch to a paid plan. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in a user-friendly reactivation experience.
This data is deleted as soon as one of the following occurs — whichever happens first:
Newsletters are sent via Mailjet GmbH, Alt Moabit 2, 10557 Berlin, Germany. Mailjet processes your email address solely for the purpose of sending emails on our behalf, is ISO 27001 certified, and stores data exclusively in EU data centers. Legal basis: Art. 28 GDPR (data processing agreement).
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link in the footer. After unsubscribing, your data will no longer be used for newsletter delivery. Upon request, we will delete all your data completely.
We employ technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorised access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for us is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to keep it in line with current legal requirements.
